The
Monastic Choir of St. Elisabeth Convent will perform in Berlin on September 21
during the opening ceremony of From Heart To Heart Festival organised by St. Elisabeth Convent. After that, the Choir will travel to the United Kingdom
where it will have concerts on September 22 – 28.
The sisters
will sing not only during concerts but also during worship in several Orthodox
parishes in London. A concert in Canterbury will mark the end of their tour.
All
concerts of the Monastic Choir of St. Elisabeth Convent will consist of two
parts: worship chants and spiritual songs (canticles).
Some of
the chants included in the programme are taken from the repertoire of the
Festive Choir of St. Elisabeth Convent conducted by Nun Juliania (Denisova). Nun
Juliania adapted these chants for the Monastic Choir.
