The Sisterhood in honor of the Holy Martyr Grand Princess Elisabeth
takes the lead in the launch of a new Spiritual Education Center in Minsk State
Medical College. The chapel is now located in the college dormitory and was
consecrated on May 4 at 5 PM.
At the beginning of the Bright Week, the sisters of mercy have
congratulated many students of the city on Pascha. Thus, a joint Paschal prayer
took place in the Spiritual Education Centre of the Belarusian State University
of Information and Radio electronics on May 2.
The Rev Andrew Malakhovsky served a festive moleben in the Spiritual
Education Centre of the Belarusian State Medical University on the same day.
The students could listen to the beautiful singing of the nuns from the
Monastic Choir of St Elisabeth Convent.
A liturgy was celebrated in the Spiritual Education Centre of the
Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University on May 3, when the Church
commemorates the Iveron icon of the Mother of God. There is a university chapel
in the Fifth Dormitory of BSATU.
Sister Marina Yaskevich said after the moleben in the Medical
University, "Our Sisterhood was eager to share the joy of the Resurrection
of Christ with young people. Not every young person will go to church, so we
decided to move a little closer to them."
